Last week we had the pleasure of having Lee and Paul have a go at our glassblowing lesson. They both made these beautiful green vase and bowl, so we asked them to pose for a photo with them when they came and picked up their pieces on Friday.
This weekend we had both days booked for glass blowing lessons, one of which let us take some photographs.
The students below were two friends who booked the class to attend together, one of them made a small vase and the other made a small plate (unfortunately we don't have photos of the vase but you can see the plate about to be finished below). The weather was still permitting, and luckily the warm weather hadn't appeared yet as today is 30degrees outside. The following day the two of them came by to pick up their items. We will soon be turning our furnace on for the glass blowing season, this means Glass Blowing classes will commence in October. If you or your friends would be interested in a no-experience necessary Glass Blowing lesson, please contact Ogishi Craft Centre or make a booking online as soon as possible. Places have been filling up fast as we only have a limited amount of lesson times available.
Glass blowing is a fun and exciting activity, and a unique and rewarding experience. Lessons are available for one or two people per class and you will be given expert instruction from Setsuko Ogishi herself as a one on one experience. Gift Vouchers are also available for those who would like to give the experience to somebody else. For any enquiries please email or phone Ogishi Craft Centre. |
